It has been a little over six months since we lost Fluffy.  There has not been a day since she passed that I have not missed her and most days I still shed tears when I think about her and remember all the little things that made Fluffy such a great cat and family member.  I believe in God, and I believe in heaven.  Lately it has helped me to think about what heaven would be like for Fluffy after she passed to the other side.  It is my belief that heaven is not just for humans, it is for all creatures that have ever lived.  I know that such a sweet and loving soul like Fluffy was joyfully welcomed into heaven.  I like to think that after Fluffy entered through the golden gates an angel whispered to her that her grandpa, my dad, was also in heaven and that he would love to meet her.  I picture Fluffy breaking into one of her full sprints in the direction of my dad.  My dad would be seated resting comfortably and flanked by the beagle, Duffy, that was our first dog, as well as Pepper and Penny the two schnauzers that we had.  Fluffy would jump into my dad’s lap and they would stare lovingly into each other's eyes.  She would share her story with him about everything that happened to her before she met Sam and me.  She would then tell the story about how she came to rescue us and all the adventures that we shared together.

Fluffy would update my dad on my life and tell him all about Sam, as my dad passed before Sam and I met.  My dad would then share with Fluffy what I was like as a child and how much I have always loved animals.  He would introduce her to Duffy, Pepper, and Penny who would then share stories about our time together.  I like to think that my dad is in heaven looking after Fluffy and giving her lots of pets and attention.  He will watch over her and love her until it is time to greet Sam and I when we cross over to the other side.  I once saw a post on Pinterest about what someone hoped heaven would be like and there was a picture of a cat, I assume the individual’s cat, racing to be the first to greet her and the caption said, “There is someone who had been waiting for you”.  I agree with that pin, I do hope that is what heaven is like.
