Happy Cat Dad Day!

I would like to wish all the father's out there a Happy Cat Dad day, Pet day, and/or Father's day. I perhaps did not have a "typical" child in the traditional sense, but Fluffy was my rebellious teenage daughter in every sense. She would go out late and I would have to wait up for her to come home. Fluffy would would jump onto my desk if she thought she was not getting the attention she deserved. She would pout if dinner was not served at a certain time by meowing at me. Fluffy would wake me at 2:10 AM every morning and I would oblige her by giving her some attention or food. Even with all this, at no point would I ever complain nor would I trade it for anything in the world.

A couple years ago Michele got me a Cat Dad mug and spoon for father's day on behalf of Fluffy. I was taken a little back as we have never given each other a gift on behalf of Fluffy. It started a trend because after that we started to exchange gifts and cards on behalf of Fluffy. What was stated in the cards is what we thought Fluffy would say to us. Today I received a Father's day card and it was a reminder that Fluffy was still here in our hearts and in sprit. I wept some. However, it was a reminder of all the great times that we had and to never to forget those moments.

I will never forget my little friend. She was there to listen to me about anything. At times, I would look at her and I'm sure she was judging me, like a child might do. As a father, I felt that I did teach her some things. I was there to comfort her during thunder storms or when workers were outside mowing the grass. We loved each other.
